August 13, 2008 - Canterbury Today magazine publishes an article about Kate's Kart. 

August 8, 2008 - The second "Kate's Kart" starts rolling at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  We now have over 40 volunteers!

June 18, 2008 - Kate's Kart hits the front page of Portland's The Commercial Review Click here to read the article.

June 4, 2008 - The first "Kate's Kart" starts rolling at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Andy and Krista are surprised when News Channel 15 arrives, and a short feature is aired on the local evening news.  36 books were passed out to kids in the cancer clinic, the NICU, the ICU, and even a waiting room.

May 28, 2008 - 27 volunteers turn out for the first training session at Lutheran Hospital.

May 6, 2008 - Local radio station, MAJIC 95.1, airs the results of the Fill The U-Haul event, and later shares the Thank You letter sent in by Kate's Kart founders, Krista and Andy Layman.

May 3, 2008 - Our official kick-off "Fill the U-Haul" event is a huge success and raises over $31,000 in books, gift cards and monetary donations.  A News Channel 15 cameraman interviews the event organizer and the Layman family, and a brief feature is aired on the evening news.
