We
actually FILLED A U-HAUL with books for Kate's Kart!
The "Fill The U-Haul" book drive
was a HUGE success! We had a great turn out, and
our preliminary calculations indicate that we received
over 5,500 books in total and a bunch of money.
After all the sorting and categorizing, we ended up with
just over 2,400 new books that will be placed on Kate's
Kart and handed out to ill children in the hospital.
The used books will either be placed in the waiting
rooms of various pediatrician's offices, or donated to
other charities.
As of May 7, 2008, here are the
